  • Two scuba divers in Floria rescued a nurse shark that had a Frisbee stuck around its neck. Remarkably, the rescue was caught on tape.
  • A man in the Fujian province of China found a novel way to propose marriage to his girlfriend: underwater. The man, Wang Jian, had been taking scuba lessons in private and proposed during a visit to the Fuzhou Zuohai Aquarium.
  • Twenty Boy Scouts in North Bend, Washington are apparently the among the first in the nation to complete the new scuba merit badge.
